It all started in 1970 and God never stopped moving.

"To lead people to become fully

devoted followers of Christ”

  • The Beginning

Our founding pastor, Rod Aguillard came to the River Region in 1970 and started pastoring in the small community of Reserve, LA. It was the day of small beginnings. The congregation totaled about 35 people, including children. From 1970 to 1974, by the grace of God, we grew to about 130 members. We met in an 1800 sq. ft. sanctuary on two acres of land.

  • God Moved

Then God came suddenly! The baptism of the Holy Spirit fell and about 100 of our members departed, leaving us with another day of small beginnings. From 1974 to 1975, we struggled but we survived, and began to experience the outpouring of the Charismatic Renewal. In 1976, we built a 4300 sq. ft. building that would seat approximately 350. Small groups were started in that same year and over the next five years we had continual growth that enabled us to buy 14 acres of land on Airline Highway. At that site we built a 22,000 sq. ft. building to house a sanctuary and a Christian School. The new sanctuary was completed in 1982, seating 743.

  • Still Growing

LifeHouse Church has been supernaturally blessed since its inception and continues with its purpose to experience the life and love of God.

LifeHouse Church is proud to have the Network of Related Pastors as its spiritual covering and accountability. Pastor Rod Aguillard is the Senior Overseer of NRP.

  • From Generation to Generation

Pastor Stephen and Laura Aguillard now serve as Senior Pastors. Their son Nathan and his wife Hailey Aguillard serve as Youth Pastors and their daughter Maggie Aguillard serves as LifeHouse’s Worship Leader.
